Tom Scheuring

Tom Scheuring grew up on a farm, which he says shaped many aspects of his life, including his work ethic, determination and perspective on entrepreneurship. What he learned from helping to run a family business affected his worldview and has continued to influence the direction of his career.

After studying Engineering and Economics at Western University and earning his MBA from the Rotman School of Management, Tom began a career in finance. Currently, Tom is the Managing Director, Global Equity Trading at RBC Capital Markets.

Tom says his greatest accomplishment is his family, particularly his two daughters. He aspires to make a positive social impact in his daily life, including through his work with Rise. Before joining the Board of Directors, Tom volunteered with the Rise Community (online platform), providing clients and alums with tailored guidance as a Finance Subject Matter Expert.
