Meet our CEO: Adwoa K. Buahene

Adwoa K. Buahene joined Rise as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in June of 2025. She has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and leadership experience in building businesses, program development, and revenue generation. Her past endeavours include co-founding n-gen People Performance Inc., Vice President, Donor and Community Partnerships at Habitat for Humanity GTA, CEO of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), and as head of AkB Talent Edge.
Guided by her mantra, "learn, own, improve," she is leading Rise into it's next chapter of strategic impact.
